So, the 'DWTS' pairs TOTALLY brought it for TV theme songs week

TV themes week had some 'Turtle' power.

This week, the remaining couples on Dancing with the Stars performed to TV theme songs. And, yes, some of our faves were included.

And, Alfonso Ribeiro, who you'll remember walked away with the mirror ball trophy in season 19 with his partner, Witney Carson, was a guest judge.

Overall, we were really impressed with the dances considering this is only week three of the competition.

Carlos PenaVega and Witney Carson

Carlos and Witney were the first to dance tonight, and they did a jazz number to Thank You for Being a Friend from The Golden Girls. The two received complete On Golden Pond makeovers, which the judges thought hindered Carlos' performance.

Carrie Ann Inaba said he was shrinking and hadn't improved since last week. Ouch! So much for these being the golden years.

Carrie Ann: 7, Alfonso: 8, Julianne Hough: 8, Bruno Tonioli: 8

Paula Deen and Louis van Amstel

This week, during rehearsals, Paula had a bit of a breakdown. She was exhausted from having to learn two dances last week, and just needed a break. She and Louis even had a heart to heart about her fear of abandonment.

Um, who is going to break it to her that she's dancing a samba to Gilligan's Island? Awkward...

Apparently, the weather wasn't the only thing getting rough. The scores from the judges were pretty harsh.

And just like that tiny ship, the effort that Paula put in was pretty much lost on the judges. Bruno said, "The samba was stranded by the shipwreck." And the scores reflected that.

Carrie Ann: 5, Alfonso: 5, Julianne: 5, Bruno: 5

S.O.S.!

Tamar Braxton and Val Chmerkovskiy

Tamar and Val danced a tantalizing tango to the theme song from Mad Men. And, while Tamar wanted to be the boss, she finally let Val take the reins. And for this performance set in the '60s, it worked.

The judges previously commented on the couple's lack of chemistry, but this time Carrie Ann called it "must-see TV." We definitely agree.

Carrie Ann: 8, Alfonso: 9, Julianne: 8, Bruno: 8

Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas

Alexa and Mark did a jazz routine to the opener from Breaking Bad. Mark said it was his favorite show ever, and he was definitely very creative with the routine. The number was a little Los Pollos loco, but genius nonetheless. And bonus: Mark was a dead ringer for Walter White.

Alfonso called it," AWESOME!" And the rest of the judges definitely thought the couple found a winning recipe. They broke Bad and the leader board with this high score.

Carrie Ann: 9, Alfonso: 9, Julianne: 9, Bruno: 9

Andy Grammer and Allison Holker

This week, Andy and Allison threw it back with a quickstep to the theme song from American Bandstand.

Carrie Ann thought it was entertaining, but she said that Andy still needed to work on his connection with Allison. Julianne said that she saw improvement where Andy was concerned, and it showed in the paddle that she picked up.

Carrie Ann: 7, Alfonso: 7, Julianne: 8, Bruno: 7

Gary Busey and Anna Trebunskaya

God bless the powers that be that picked a tango set to The Addams Family for Anna and Gary friggin' Busey! Because, let's be real, he's a little, "kooky, mysterious, and spooky." And, we're giving Gar-bear MAJOR points for that pencil thin 'stache.

Gary made that dance look like a *snap, snap!* Julianne said he "nailed every step," and Alfonso admitted that he was in love with The Buse. Get in line, Alfonso.

Carrie Ann: 6, Alfonso: 7, Julianne: 6, Bruno: 6

Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold

It looked like Alek and Lindsay had a bloody good time this week. Alek cut his sexy vampire teeth on a tango set to the opening song from True Blood.

Carrie Ann said that she loved watching Alek dance, and Julianne called it "perfection."

Carrie Ann: 8, Alfonso: 8, Julianne: 9, Bruno: 8

Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough

So originally, Bindi and Derek thought they were dancing to the opening of The Jetsons, but when that song didn't clear soon enough, they had just two days to learn a quickstep to Movin' On Up from The Jeffersons. And did we mention that Bindi had a hurt ankle? Talk about "a whole lotta tryin' just to get up that hill."

Alfonso said Bindi's posture could be better, and Julianne said it wasn't Bindi's best dance. But the couple still got great scores.

Carrie Ann: 8, Alfonso: 8, Julianne: 8, Bruno: 8

Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess

Nick bounced back last week, and kept his momentum on Monday night. He and Sharna performed a Viennese Waltz to the opener from Downton Abbey, and it was pretty much flawless.

Julianne basically nailed our thoughts exactly when she called it "the best dance of the night."

Carrie Ann: 9, Alfonso: 9, Julianne: 9, Bruno: 9

Hayes Grier and Emma Slater

Hayes displayed some turtle power during a jive to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but the judges thought it was kind of half-shelled.

Bruno commented on how focused Hayes appeared, but Carrie Ann said that it wasn't his best dance and made note of his fading energy.

Carrie Ann: 7, Alfonso: 8, Julianne: 7, Bruno: 8

At the end of the show, it was revealed that two couples were in jeopardy: Andy and Allison and Paula and Louis.

However, since Kim Zolciak Biermann and Tony Dovolani were forced to withdraw from the competition this week, both couples in jeopardy were proclaimed safe until the show returns next week.
