Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei puts her spin on Solange with a pair of new covers.

Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei is going solo — with some help from Solange.

Kordei shared her cover of Solange's two new singles, Don't Touch My Hair and Cranes in the Sky, exclusively with USA TODAY.

The 20-year-old singer's latest mashup is similar to her take on Drake's Sneakin' and Fake Love, which she released online last month. But as Kordei told USA TODAY, covering Solange is a special experience.

"I was inspired by Solange's album, A Seat At The Table, from the moment that I heard it," she said. "She has clearly taken the time to create a unique body of work and emote through her music from a true place."

Solange's 2016 album A Seat At The Table was hailed as a "paean to the irrepressible nature of the black spirit," adding extra meaning for Kordei, who's voiced her support for the Black Lives Matter movement and offered advice for dealing with racist cyberbullying.

"I’ve been through so much especially coming from New Orleans where there was Hurricane Katrina in 2005. I had to pick up. We had to move, make new friends, and I think my family was just strong for me as well because we had to start completely over again," she told Modeliste magazine last year. "And I think, despite our struggles, no matter what it is that we go through, they always kind of make a way for me to be able to succeed or do whatever it is I need to do to prosper."

Following the announcement that her former bandmate Camila Cabello would be leaving Fifth Harmony, Kordei teased her "prosperous" year ahead, "not only regarding Fifth Harmony and this new chapter together but also my own personal endeavors in and outside of music."

Normani fans, stay tuned.
