Long-term projections too low, company says
NEW BERLIN — The Pick ’n Save on National Avenue at Sunnyslope Road will close June 15, a store official confirmed this week.
Employees at the store, 13995 W. National Ave., were told that the store's long-term financial projections are too low, the company said on Monday, May 15. The store's 68 employees have been offered jobs at other Pick 'n Saves.
The Pick ’n Save in the New Berlin City Center will remain open.
Monday's announcement included one other closure. The Pewaukee Pick ’n Save on Ryan Road also will close June 15.
Roundy's Inc., the parent company of Pick ’n Save, was bought by Kroger Co. in 2015. Most of the stores will remain open, and many have been or will be remodeled in the Milwaukee area, the company previously announced.
