Family Fest coming June 23-25

The Holy Apostles Family Fest will run from June 23 through 25 at the church, 16000 W. National Ave.

Volleyball tourney to be benefit

The first New Berlin Open Volleyball Tournament will be at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at the New Berlin Ale House, 16000 W. Cleveland Ave.

There will be a competitive league and recreational league, so all levels of skill will be welcome. Those who would rather sit back and relax can enjoy entertainment throughout the day, raffles, and food and drink available for purchase.

Proceeds will go to the fire department and to the police department’s canine unit. The entry fee is $150 or $120 per team depending on whether the team is recreational or competitive.


A live band will follow the play.

Cheerleading camp signups due

The registration deadline is Monday, June 26, for the summer cheerleading camp the New Berlin Eisenhower Varsity Stunt and Cheer Team will hold.

The annual summer cheerleading camp will focus on skills such as cheers, sidelines, jumps, basic tumbling and dance. Campers will work on stunts, age-appropriate pyramids, and the value of teamwork.

The camp for those who will be age 4 through 13 as of this fall will be 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 10-13. The cost is $80 including snacks, drinks and a camp T-shirt.

An open gym/skills clinic from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. that day is $20 extra.

The camp will be at Eisenhower Middle/High School,4333 S. Sunnyslope Road.

Program on being foster parent

Waukesha County is seeking qualified people to meet the growing need for foster parents.

Information on being a foster parent will be presented from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 26, at the Muskego Public Library, S73 W16663 Janesville Road.
