Candidates for public offices in New Berlin and Muskego have begun circulating nominating petitions for elections in the non-partisan spring election April 4. There will be statewide contests for the state Supreme Court and superintendent of public instruction.

The deadline to file petitions is 5 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3. Any primary contests, if necessary, will be Feb. 21. Here are offices at stake locally and incumbents.


Muskego: Mayor- Kathy Chiaverotti, 2nd District alderman- Bob Hammel, 4th District alderman- Thomas Kapusta, 6th District alderman- Kevin Kubacki, 7th District alderman- Eileen Madden.

New Berlin: Mayor- David Ament, Municipal Judge- Joseph Dorlack, 2nd District alderman- Charles Garrigues, 4th District alderman- Ken Harenda, 6th District alderman- Dennis Horbinski.


Muskego-Norway: two seats - Robert Bohmann and Christopher Buckmaster.
New Berlin: two seats - Amy Crosby and Dave Maxey.
