A neighborhood meeting / open house will be held for two subdivisions proposed for Section 35, the largest tract of farmland east of Moorland Road in New Berlin.
The meeting will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, at the New Berlin City Hall, 3805 S. Casper Drive.
The two developments are the Neumann Companies subdivision and the Thomson Hollow subdivision.
The Neumann Companies is proposing a 34-lot subdivision on 27.8 acres. The property is located at approximately 5601 S. Sunny Slope Road (on the southwest corner of Sunnyslope Road and Grange Avenue.
Thomson Realty of Wisconsin, Inc. is proposing a 54-lot subdivision on 68 acres at about 6201 S. Sunnyslope Road (roughly across from Elmwood School).
The purpose of the meeting / open house is to give the plan commissioners, city staff, elected officials, interested residents and the developer’s engineers the opportunity to discuss the rezonings, concept plans and preliminary plat applications. The developers and city staff will be there to answer questions and hear concerns. 
This will not be a public hearing and no formal presentation or action will be taken. Both projects are on the Nov. 9 plan commission meeting agenda for action.
