NEW BERLIN — A New Berlin restaurant manager who was charged with two counts of inappropriately touching teenage female employees was found dead Sunday of a gunshot wound believed to have been self-inflicted.

Michael Bernicky, 61, 1908 Harris Highland Drive, Waukesha, is alleged to have touched the teens' buttocks and made sexual remarks and jokes while manager of Great Wraps, 15169 W. National Ave., according to the criminal complaint filed in Waukesha  County Circuit Court. The victims were 17 and 18 when the incidents happened, the complaint says.

The Waukesha County Medical Examiner's Office ruled that the cause of death was self-inflicted. Bernicky was to make an initial court appearance March 27. He was found on the Glacial Drumlin State Trail.
