Senate health care bill photos: A social media must for lawmakers

Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell leaves the chamber after announcing the release of the Republicans' healthcare bill which represents the party's long-awaited attempt to scuttle much of President Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act, at the Capitol in Washington, Thursday, June 22, 2017.

Your lawmakers from both sides of the aisle want you to know that yes, they're definitely reading the Senate health care bill released on Thursday.

The "secrecy" of the bill while it was being written has been a point of contention for Democratic and Republican senators alike. This week alone, three Democrats staged a stunt to demand details at the Congressional Budget Office, while Republicans started going on the record to say that they hadn't been told anything about the bill. On Thursday morning, Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, quipped that she hadn't seen the legislation because she was neither a lobbyist nor a reporter.
