The Warriors opened the season by going 3-0 at their own quad Aug. 13.

Muskego defeated Sussex Hamilton, 5-2, in the first round, with its doubles teams going 3-0 to secure the victory.

Maddie Toboyek defeated Sarah Chartrand, 7-0, 5-7, 12-10 to win at No. 3 singles. Mady Becker secured a win at No. 4 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Rhea Last.

Doubles teams Brittany Henneberry and Erin Brezovar; Isabella Norante and Uma Gude; and Taylor Berger and Alyssa Toboyek each won in straight sets.

In the second round, Muskego again got wins from Maddie Toboyek and Becker and swept the doubles matches to come away with a 5-2 win over New Berlin Eisenhower.

The Warriors completed their perfect day with a 6-1 rout of Wilmot.

Rachel Slonac picked up her first win of the season by defeating Brynn Amundson, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 2 singles.

All three Muskego doubles teams went 3-0, as did Maddie Toboyek and Becker.

"It is nice to see the team get off to a great start winning all three dual matches," Muskego coach Susan Vogel said. "We had a particularly strong showing in doubles where we won all nine of our matches.

"Brittany Henneberry and Erin Brevozar did a great job at No. 1 doubles. It was their first time playing together."


Eisenhower had a strong showing at the Muskego Quad on Aug. 13, going 2-1 to take second place.

The Lions opened the day with a 6-1 win over Wilmot.

Gabby Majinski won 7-6 (4), 6-7 (5) and 10-8 at No. 2 singles; Kate McCormick was a 6-3, 6-3 winner at No. 3 singles; and Cindy Liu won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 singles. Eisenhower swept the doubles matches with Sam Ramsey and Erin Dobrzynski (No. 1); Julia Hintz and Shannon Hegeman (No. 2); and Lauren Kosch and Meg McCormick (No. 3) all winning in straight sets.

Eisenhower fell 5-2 to host Muskego in the second round with Lauren Landstrom winning at No. 1 singles and Sam Ramsey at No. 2 singles.

The Lions bounced back to close the day with a 5-2 win over Sussex Hamilton.

Eisenhower's doubles teams swept Hamilton, while McCormick and Liu won their singles matches.


The New Berlin co-op golf team opened its season with a 15th-place finish in the 20-team Milwaukee Pius XI Invitational at Washington County Golf Course on Aug. 11.

Andrea Groendal led New Berlin by shooting a 95. Megan Russell finished with a 96, while Jenna Weigand (109), Mikayla Hamann (134) and Jade Phelps (150) rounded out the lineup.
