New Berlin Eisenhower girls soccer will honor longtime coach Gary Troy prior to its final regular season home game against Mukwonago at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 25.
Troy, an assistant coach for the Lions girls team, will retire when the season concludes after 26 seasons of coaching high school soccer.
He spent five years coaching boys soccer at Martin Luther High School and 11 years at Franklin High School.
Troy posted a 68-61-14 record in 10 seasons as the head coach of the Eisenhower boys before retiring following last season. He has served as an assistant coach in the Lions girls program over the past five years.
After playing for the Catholic Youth Organization and the Bavarian Soccer Club, Troy played collegiately at the University of Notre Dame. He continued his soccer career with the Milwaukee Kickers Majors and the F.C. Victoria Majors.
