LOS ANGELES, CA - JANUARY 28: Mike Smith #41 of the Arizona Coyotes competes in the Gatorade NHL Skills Challenge Relay during the 2017 Coors Light NHL All-Star Skills Competition as part of the 2017 NHL All-Star Weekend at STAPLES Center on January 28, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.

Arizona Coyotes goaltender Mike Smith loves to play with the puck, whether it's passing to a streaking teammate or shooting into an empty net.

During the NHL All-Star Skills Competition on Saturday, Smith stepped his game up a notch.

Smith shot a puck from his own goal line to the opposite net, sliding it in a tiny opening to help the Pacific Division during the "goalie goal" challenge.

Everyone who witnessed it was impressed.

Smith, the Coyotes' lone representative in Los Angeles, will play in his first All-Star Game on Sunday. There is much speculation about his trade value, and Saturday's showing certainly raised some eyebrows around the league.
