The Muskego girls ski team began the 2016 season with first places in two meets last week.
The Warriors tallied 193.18 points to win a meet on Jan. 16 at Little Switzerland against Menomonee Falls, Whitefish Bay and Catholic Memorial.
Rylie Hendren won the individual race with 44.43 seconds, and Hunter Bindas also won a medal with third in 45.43. Isabelle Sviatoslavsky came in fourth (49.56), Kayla Asbach seventh (53.76) and Justina Sviatoslavsky 10th (56.75).
Muskego also took first with 231.06 points in a meet on Jan. 13 at Alpine Valley against Brookfield East and Nicolet. Bindas came in second (55.39) and Hendren third (56.0), with both winning medals.
Isabelle Sviatoslavsky was fifth (58.94), Justina Sviatoslavsky seventh (60.73) and Asbach 14th (67.32).
The Muskego boys finished third with 235.27 points on Jan. 13, with Connor Cleveland placing third (54.12) and taking a medal.
Keegan Hendren was 10th (58.73), Dakota Jorgensen 13th (61.11), David Petak 14th (61.31), Andrew Hirt 15th (65.28) and Josh Zhang 16th (69.58).
In the Jan. 11 race, the boys were fourth with 205.04 points. Cleveland finished sixth (44.36), Hendren ninth (49.57), Petak 12th (52.07), Hirt 14th (59.04), Zhang 16th (61.98) and Jorgensen 21st.
