The beat rolled on for Kate Jochims on Sept. 24, as she won her fourth race of the season to lead the Muskego girls cross-country team to the title at its own Warrior Invitational at Lake Denoon Middle School.
Jochims finished in 18 minutes, 13 seconds to come in 23 seconds ahead of second-place runner Meghan Scott of DSHA.
The sophomore has won all four races she competed in this year.
Muskego, ranked No. 8 in the state, defeated No. 2 DSHA to claim the team title.
Freshman Brittany Helm came in fourth place with a time of 19:34.63. Rounding out the scoring lineup for Muskego were sophomore Jessica Michala (seventh place in 19:42.98), senior Callie Schulist (26th in 21:10.26) and sophomore Elizabeth Missiaen (27th in 21:12.12).
Also running for the eighth-ranked Warriors were junior Justina Sviatoslav (21:34.39), sophomore Sydney Bartz (21:53.62) and senior Britany Jensen (21:58.12).
Led by senior Kyle Neuroth taking seventh in 16:48.28, Muskego's boys cross-country team took third at the Warrior Invite.
Senior Jake Petri came in 19th in 17:12.73 in his first race since late August. Sophomore Adam Kierzek took 20th in 17:17.39, junior Gino Pierangeli was 28th in 17:35.15 and junior Eric Jensen claimed 41st in 17:52.51.
