Muskego's boys basketball team rolled to its fifth consecutive win with an 84-37 rout of Waukesha South on Jan. 6.

The Warriors led, 49-19, at halftime and kept the pressure on after the break, outscoring the Blackshirts, 35-18  in the second half to up their record to 9-1 overall and 4-1 in the Classic 8 Conference.

Nine different players scored for Muskego, led by sophomore forward Stu Vent and senior center Will Herald with 14 points apiece. Sophomore guard A.J. Makinen added 11 points; senior guard Ryan Wikel and senior forward Luke Horozewski each scored 10 points; and junior guard Rob Zolecki finished with 8 points.

At 4-1 in the Classic 8, the Warriors sit in second place, one game behind Arrowhead, which is unbeaten in league play at 5-0. Catholic Memorial and Mukwonago are tied for third place at 3-2.

Muskego was slated to play at Slinger (3-8 overall, 1-4 Wisconsin Little Ten) in a nonconference game on Tuesday, Jan. 10. The Warriors will return to Classic 8 play with a home game against Waukesha North (3-6, 1-3 Classic 8) at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13.
