Muskego's boys swimming team has been trending upward as the season has progressed.
The Warriors continued their run of success by winning the Rocket Invitational held Jan. 7 at South Milwaukee High School. With 436.5 team points, Muskego cruised to the team title over Kenosha Tremper, which finished a distant second with 247 points.
"The boys finally gathered the reward for their hard work they put forth in practice the last three weeks," Muskego coach Larry Milton said. "Everyone improved their times if not equaled their personal best. I hope this will further their determination to work hard and to reset their goals. I really enjoyed watching their effort Saturday.
"This 14-team meet is unique in the way it is set up as a dual meet format where you have to place swimmers in a position of equal talent to gain as many points possible per event."
Jack Rohlinger won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.83 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 50.13 seconds.
Muskego also won the 200 freestyle relay in 1:34.36 with the team of Liam Bangs, Connor Andrews, Andy Buelow and Josh Paquette and the 400 freestyle relay in 3:28.01 with Evan Slonac, Ben Gabbey, Bangs and Rohlinger.
