For some, the second Woodland Conference crossover game had playoff implications. But with New Berlin Eisenhower already firmly in the playoffs, the Lions' regular-season finale represented a chance to take a momentum into the postseason.

Eisenhower easily downed Shorewood/Messmer, 42-0, on Oct. 14 to extend its winning streak to three games and finish the regular season at 7-2 overall.

The Lions received the fourth seed in their WIAA Division 3 region and will host fifth-seeded Wisconsin Lutheran (6-3 overall) in a Level 1 game at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in a rematch from the 2015 playoffs.

Co-champions of the Wisconsin Little Ten, the Vikings have won four straight and six of their last seven. Wisconsin Lutheran defeated Eisenhower, 18-7, in a Level 1 game last season.

Eisenhower (7-2, 5-1 Woodland) scored 14 points in each of the three quarters against Shorewood/Messmer.

Lion quarterback Bryce Miller threw for three touchdowns and ran for another. The junior threw touchdown passes to Sullivan Kulju (28 yards), Stephen Halusan (44 yards) and Joey Lang (35 yards) to put Eisenhower up 21-0.

A 4-yard touchdown run by Jake Belongia gave the Lions a 28-0 advantage at halftime.

Miller scored on a 9-yard run with 8:56 left in the third quarter, while Devin Colburn capped the scoring by finding the end zone from 4 yards out.

Eight different Lions combined for 157 rushing yards, led by Dino Copoulos' 33 yards on four carries. Miller finished 8-for-16 for 166 yards with Halusan catching two passes for 68 yards and Lang adding three catches for 51 yards.

Eisenhower's defense held the Greyhounds to just 77 yards of offense.

Mark Shields led the Lions in tackles with six, while Brett Angiolo, Luke Carey and Mike White all had interceptions.
