Joel Embiid, Malcolm Brogdon highlight NBA All-Rookie First Team

Dario Saric and Malcolm Brogdon, two of the three finalists for the 2016-17 NBA Rookie of the Year Award, were unanimously selected to the All-Rookie First Team, the NBA announced Monday. Both players received 100 First Team votes from a panel of NBA media members.

Saric's Philadelphia 76ers teammate Joel Embiid, who played just 31 games before undergoing season-ending knee surgery, received the third-most First Team votes (82). He was widely considered the runaway Rookie of the Year favorite before his injury.

The 76ers are the first team with multiple All-Rookie First Team members since 2008 (Kevin Durant and Jeff Green; Seattle SuperSonics).

Making up the rest of the First Team: Buddy Hield of the Sacramento Kings and Willy Hernangomez of the New York Knicks.

Making up the Second Team: Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets, Jaylen Brown of the Boston Celtics, Marquese Chriss of the Phoenix Suns, Brandon Ingram of the L.A. Lakers and Yogi Ferrell of the Dallas Mavericks.

The Rookie of the Year will be unveiled at the inaugural NBA Awards show Monday night at 9 p.m. ET on TNT.
