NBA playoffs: Warriors make history; Hawks even it up with Wizards

USA TODAY Sports
Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant, center JaVale McGee and guard Stephen Curry react in the closing the seconds of a 128-103 win over the Portland Trail Blazers to clinch Game 4 of the first round of the 2017 NBA Playoffs.

Didn't catch all the action from Monday night's slate of first-round playoff games? We've got you covered.

Here's what you may have missed:

► Twelve minutes into Game 4, the Warriors had 45 points, tying an NBA playoff record for points scored in a quarter. Talk about coming out swinging. It was all smooth sailing from there for the Dubs, who completed the series sweep of the Blazers with a 128-103 victory.

For your viewing pleasure: Every point from that record-tying first frame.

The not-so-good news of the night: For the second straight game, the Warriors had to get it done without head coach Steve Kerr, who is out indefinitely due to complications from a 2015 back surgery.

Before the game, the Blazers' Twitter account wished him a speedy recovery.

Did we mention Stephen Curry had 37 points and knocked down seven of his 11 three-point attempts? Because he did.

► The Raptors rolled to a 25-point Game 5 win over the Bucks. The hero? Toronto's second-year guard Norman Powell, who finished with a team-high 25 points and added four rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Oh, and he did this ...

... and this.

In the postgame news conference, Kyle Lowry made sure Powell got his 15 minutes of fame.

► Markieff Morris: Stop poking the bear (Paul Millsap). Morris, who called Millsap a "crybaby" after Game 3, had just nine points on 3-of-10 shooting. Millsap, on the other hand, had 19 points, nine rebounds and seven assists as the Hawks evened up the series with the Wizards at two games apiece.

Don't worry, the NBA action picks back up on Tuesday. Here's what's on tap:

  • Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets - 8 p.m. ET on TNT (Houston leads 3-1)
  • Memphis Grizzlies at San Antonio Spurs - 9 p.m. ET on NBATV (Series tied 2-2)
  • Utah Jazz at Los Angeles Clippers - 10:30 p.m. ET on TNT (Series tied 2-2)
