With just days until the start of the 2016 college football season, here is USA TODAY Sports’ preseason ranking of the entire Football Bowl Subdivision from No. 1 (Alabama) through No. 128 (not Alabama).

Alabama coach Nick Saban has the Crimson Tide poised for another title run.

Technically, the season has already begun: California defeated Hawaii, 51-31, during last Friday’s kickoff in Australia. The Golden Bears and Warriors will see that result reflected in the re-ranking following this coming weekend.

The plus-minus column compares these rankings with the final re-ranking from the 2015 season. So, for example, No. 2 Florida State has moved up 10 spots from where it finished last season (No. 12) while No. 5 Clemson has dropped three spots (No. 2).

The four teams with the biggest rise since the end of the 2015 season are Texas, Washington, UCLA and Auburn. The teams starting the farthest back from their 2015 finish are Cal, Northwestern and Bowling Green.
