Alabama players scuffle on sideline with 17-3 lead

Alabama coach Nick Saban had to leave his post to cool one of his players in the second quarter Saturday.

Everything was going No. 1 Alabama's way late in the second quarter of its game vs. No. 17 USC, but that doesn't mean the Crimson Tide was full of cheer.

In fact, one Alabama player, sophomore defensive back Ronnie Harrison, was outraged. He shoved and even clenched his fist in a sideline scrape with teammate Avery Reed and didn't want to hear it when linebacker Reuben Foster interceded to calm him down.

It took coach Nick Saban to leave his post on the sideline and rush to the bench to get Harrison to chill out. "Settle down, settle down!" Saban told him.

But it appears there is a happy ending. Based on this tweet from Harrison, the beef was with secondary mate Eddie Jackson, one of Alabama's best and most respected players. All good now.
